On Saturday, December 14, the District 751 Women's Committee will be distributing toys to our laid-off members to help their children have a happy holiday. The toys were donated to our Union.
The only requirement to receive toys is that you are a laid-off member of this Union. All information will be kept confidential. The intent is simply to help these members have a better holiday season.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
We need your help to obtain the names and phone numbers of laid-off members so we can ensure they are aware of this service. The Union is trying to compile the ages and gender of their children to ensure we have enough toys for all that may participate.
If you know of any laid-off members who might like to receive some of the toys for their children this holiday season, please contact Carol Brown at 206-764-0350 or 1-800-763-1301, ext. 3350 in the Union's Health and Benefits Office or e-mail the information to carolb@iam751.org.
While the gifts are mainly for children ages 10 and under, the Committee is working to get additional donations for older children. If you would like to donate a new toy or give a cash donation or gift certificate to purchase toys, please drop them by any of the Union offices before December 12th.
