Participation Board
This board was developed to encourage member participation in the various activities that lead up to negotiations. It is a great way to focus on individual issues of the contract to generate discussions and the areas of improvement needed.
Union Stewards will be picking these participation boards up at their respective Local Lodge meetings in February along with the monthly topic stickers through February.
"I WAS THERE" stickers will be passed out as members "do their part" and participate in the various Contract preparation events.
RED Sticker for attending a Shop Floor Meeting - Given by the Rep or Staff holding the meeting from February 2008 forward.
Black Sticker for filling out the paper survey (not online) from February forward - given by union stewards as they receive your completed survey back to them.
Blue Sticker will be given at the Strike Sanction event.
Yellow Sticker will be given for any member who votes on the Contract Proposal
Through everyone doing their part in preparation for the contract, we will be successful in getting the best possible contract.
In September 2008, those members who have done their part and can show a completed participation board to their respective steward, they will receive an entry card to be entered into a drawing for many donated prizes as well as some other cool technology prizes such as iPods.
