Women's Committee Report April 2005

The fourth annual Flight for Sight Fun Run, Walk and Jog will be May 21st at the Everett Boeing Activity Center. Registration starts at 8 am and the run/jog starts at 9:30 am followed by the walkers at 9:45 am.

Please take time and sign up to help out with the event if you aren't planning on running/jogging or walking.

The Women's Committee wants to thank you in advance for supporting this event whether you participate in it or volunteer your time or just give money. It takes all of us to give one way or another to help make the life of a blind person live better day by day.

We would also like to report that April 19th is National Pay Equity Day. It is a day to raise awareness about unfair pay for women and people of color in America. This mostly affects the non-unionized but even in unionized workforces, jobs that mostly women are hired into are usually in the lower pay scales.
