The Women's Committee would like to mention that we have been working very hard in the last several months on preparing for our 2nd Annual "FUN RUN" to help raise money for Guide Dogs of America. This year's event is entitled the "Flight for Sight" and will be held at the Everett Boeing Activity Center, Saturday, May 31st. Click here for more information.
This is a "fun" event for the whole family, which will have trophies, and prizes for winners and participants. There will be a walking course as well as running/jogging courses.
Since this is a fundraiser, we encourage all of you to participate and get your friends to sponsor you with pledges for the event you choose to do. It's all for a great cause. Information on the event is available on the back table, on the website, and in the Aeromechanic.
We would also like to make you aware that the month of March is National Women's History month and that March 8th is International Women's Day. A celebration of this day and month will be held at the Seattle Center, Center House during the weekend of March 8th.
The event will feature free workshops and entertainment and hopes to empower women to help them realize their collective power to affect real change in our won communities, in our state and in our world! Check it out!
