Brothers and Sisters,

This afternoon at approximately 2 p.m., The Boeing Company notified IAM District 751 that they would temporarily suspend production of the 737 MAX lines in January. There was not a specific date the suspension would begin, as it would take time to implement this plan.

 Boeing did not share any information on the duration of how long the lines will be suspended; however, we were told there would be no layoffs as a result of their plan, at this time.

 We should expect to see movement of some of the Renton workforce to other organizations in Puget Sound. There were no details given of potential movement in the New Year, and once we have information we will share it appropriately.
