Open enrollment for District 751 members working at Boeing to select their health and dental insurance coverage for 2021 runs from Nov. 3-24. No action is required unless you want to change from your current plan. Scroll to the bottom for flyers and power points on open enrollment information.
Our contract spells out health care benefits, including deductibles, office co-pays and prescription coverage (see chart in open enrollment flyer). Thanks to proactive efforts by our Union, the monthly premium contribution rate will increase 2.1 percent rather than the contractual 10 percent increase to ensure that members do not exceed the 16 percent cost share cap on health care. This is the second straight year Union efforts resulted in a smaller monthly increase in monthly premiums.
NOTE: Boeing is changing their prescription drug administrator to Prime Therapeutics (currently Express Scripts). Click here to view a power point that Prime Therapuetics presented at virtual lodge meetings in November. Go to myprime.com/Boeing, click find medicines and enter the name of the drug to see if prescriptions currently used are on the list and what pharmacies are in their network.
Remember to complete the Boeing online health assessment questionnaire by Nov. 24 to avoid higher monthly premiums for the coming year (up to $40 per month if both employee and spouse/partner fail to complete the assessment). Retirees do not need to take the health assessment. Keep in mind there are no wrong answers on the health assessment and to avoid the higher monthly cost, you DO NOT have to provide any “numbers” on the Health Assessment. “I don’t know” is a perfectly acceptable answer.
TAKING THE HEALTH ASSESSMENT
Members: Log into Worklife and enter “Step to Your Well Being” (with quotes) in the search bar. Within the article that pops up, click “Complete your health assessment.” You will be directed to the Wellness Checkpoint portal to complete the assessment. You may want to screenshot the message once you have completed the assessment for your own records.
Spouses or domestic partners enrolled in a Boeing-sponsored medical plan: Visit https://boeing.wellnesscheckpoint.com. Spouses or domestic partners will need to enter the employee’s BEMSID, the first three letters of the spouse’s first name and the spouse’s birth month and year. Again, you may want to screenshot the message once you have completed the assessment for your own records.
