We are happy to share some news from Eastern Gateway Community College (ECGG) on the Free College Benefit.

This week, ECGG has released new information stating that students can register for the Spring 2023 semester, which begins on January 9, 2023. 

Although litigation is ongoing regarding a full review of the ECGG program with the U.S. Department of Education, the courts have granted a temporary injunction allowing new enrollments as of this week. 

This means that new and returning students can, once again, start registering for classes at EGCC for next semester using the Free College Benefit. 

While this is good news for students, this is not a guarantee for the future. As a strong advocate of this union benefit, District Lodge 751 is keeping an eye out for any new information and continues to monitor the situation. We will release any further information as it becomes available.
